The following article was published in several local newspspers by the Indiana Independent Automobile Dealers Association (IIADA).
The Indiana Independent Automobile Dealers Association is proud to announce Gray Auto of Greenfield as the 2005 QUALITY DEALER OF THE YEAR. This award was presented to Brad Gray and Jim Sims at the associations's annual golf outing and awards day held on September 11 at Ironwood Golf Club in Fishers. The Quality Dealer of the year is chosen based on several attributes. The dealership must be consumer oriented, and the dealer must have a record of good business decions based on honest and integrity. Also, the dealership must represent themselves as a civic leader within the community. Gray Auto represents all of these attributes.
Gray Auto was established in 1997 by Brad and Michelle Gray and Jim and Melinda Sims in Knightstown. In January of 2002, Gray Auto opened a larger facility in Greenfield. Their dealership, located at 2260 W. Main St., can easily be mistaken for a new car store. Gray Auto has built their business on customer service not only during the sale, but after the sale as well. Their success is a result of customer first attitude implemented by all of their staff, including sales, service, office personnel, and finance office employees. The are very involved in their business and are at the store daily working alongside all of their employees. Their work ethic and positive leadership have been instrumental in their success.
Gray Auto will represent Indiana at the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association Convention in Las Vegas, June 2006. They will compete with Quality Dealers from other states in the National Quality Dealer Award Program. The primary purpose of the Indiana Independent Automobile Dealers Association is to address legal and legislative issues that confront the used car industry and to promote the business of its members while serving the public interest. The Indiana Independent Automobile Dealers Association has supported independent used car dealers in Indiana for more than 17 years. The association is proud to have Gray Auto as this year’s “Quality Dealer of the Year.”
